Ravi Kumar Kashi

Ravi Kumar Kashi, was born in Bangalore in 1968. He started his art education fron Ken School of Arts, Bangalore, completed his B.F.A. in painting from Chitrakala Parishat, Bangalore in 1988; M.F.A. in printmaking from the prestigious Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda in 1990; and M.A. in English from Mysore University, in 1995. He learnt handmade papermaking from Glasgow School of Art, U.K. He also learnt Hanji, traditional Korean papermaking, from Jang Ji Bang, Korea. He has shown his works in solo, group and curated shows across the world in museums, galleries and art fairs. He has received numerous awards for his art. He has written several articles and books on art in both Kannada and English; two of his books in Kannada have received awards. He is also an art educator.

He lives and works in Bengaluru.
